Gilmore Car Museum
Michigan | Cabin | Gilmore Museum | Steam Boats | Baum Picture Album |
Photos from the Gilmore Car Museum the barns house the collection. The new theme is to have the building look like dealership or a factory for the make. Lincoln and Cadillac are being built now. Larry Baum is one of the Trustees at the Museum. He and his family gave me a personal tour of the Museum. If you ever have the chance to visit the Gilmore Museum do so it is outstanding. The other Photos are of the Wednesday night cruisin with the Baum and Pederson families riding in the Apperson. They had not seen the car in over 40 year. This was one of the highlights of my trip bringing the car back for the family to see again. The last three are 58 years apart Larry and Earlene Baum one on their wedding day in 1956 the other two in 2014 riding in the Apperson.
P.S. The dusters and hats in the pictures are the same ones Lawrence and Ethel are wearing in the photos from the 1950's and 60's. My family bought from Lawrence in the late 1970's.
As you can see from the pictures I convinced Tim to drive the Apperson. I think it was as much of a trill for him as it was for me. I can see why it was Lawrence’s favorite cars it is a blast to drive in more ways than one, almost no windshield. I have driven it 30 degree weather was not as much fun.
