Apperson in Nebraska

The last leg of my trip took me to Nebraska, (if you blink you will miss the town) so Lindley Kessler could see and ride in a car he helped keep on the road. He loaned me parts that I needed for the starter system and spare tire brackets, all of which I was able to get cast and use on my car. Thanks to him my car will be on the road many more years. Also thanks to his daughter Jeanne and son John for making it possible for me to meet Lindley and give him a ride in my Apperson and wander around the farm and see all the cars he has.

Lindley and Lawrence Baum and corresponded in the 60's about there cars. Copies of the letter are on the letters page. Lindley has three 1914 chassis a 1913 engine and two 1916/17 V-8 Apperson's and many more parts. He also has many other cars as you will see from my pictures. What a thrill to be able to wander around his field and look at all the cars. I was in heaven for old car nuts. 😉 😉

I gave rides to many of family members and a couple of his friends. It was a thrill to give the younger ones a ride most had never heard of an Apperson.
