The disassembled engine at Godwin-Singer, when I visited there shop. The first valve is home made replacement also note that the seat is flat. New valves have a bevel for better seating. Since the valves have to be replaced they are going to use the newer style valves and grind a bevel in the valve seats. The chalk marks on the jugs are cracks that need repair. Note the pitting on the crankshaft, camshafts are even worse. The engine needed a lot of work but will be like new when done.
